Solange Knowles Lends Her Quiet Cool to the New Jacquemus and Nike Campaign
Oh to walk in Solange Knowles’ shoes!
Knowles is the muse and the face of the newest Jacquemus × Nike Moon Shoe campaign as the fashion collaboration returns with three spring-ready colorways and a staged campaign that blends ballet-inspired design with athletic heritage.
The latest drop, which launched on Jacquemus’ site with exclusive availability before a wider SNKRS release, arrives in Chocolate Brown, Sail (off-white), and a pale pink rooted in Jacquemus’s signature palette.
Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus called the relaunch a “second chapter” for the Moon Shoe after digging through Nike’s archives and finding a silhouette that felt timeless yet open to reinterpretation. “I immediately saw the opportunity to write a new story and reinterpret it in our own way,” Jacquemus told WWD, introducing the pale pink as a “sensual and naïve colour that brings softness and intimacy to the silhouette.” The campaign’s imagery, shot by Theo Wenner and starring Knowles, emphasizes quiet, intimate moments rather than overt athleticism.
Jacquemus’ product page lists limited-per-customer quantities and indicates the shoes will be available both online and in stores. The reissue nods to the Moon Shoe’s design heritage, originally handmade by Nike cofounder Bill Bowerman for the 1972 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials. The Moon Shoe was Nike’s first sneaker to incorporate its famed waffle sole innovation. The new version is a low-profile, ruched nylon upper and a repurposed Nike Grind outsole, and it leans into fashion-forward color studies that have made previous Jacquemus × Nike drops cultural moments.
The collaboration’s cultural cachet is amplified by Knowles’ involvement, aligning a musician known for visual minimalism and intentionality with a silhouette that bridges performance and everyday wear. Early responses from fashion outlets and shoppers suggest the Moon Shoe will sell quickly. Previous Jacquemus × Nike iterations have moved fast in streetwear and fashion circles, and this relaunch appears primed to repeat that pattern.
