Dionne Warwick Launches Healthy Gal Activewear
Legendary singer Dionne Warwick is venturing into the world of design with her daughter-in-law Luana Elliott. The pair recently launched their stylish new activewear line called Healthy Gal, reports Black Enterprise.
The pieces from the line are made from high quality materials like Brazilian supplex, which gives the body perfect support when working out. Elliott, who is a professional physical trainer, was inspired to create the line based on her passion for fitness and sports. She told the publication that she wants women to feel "fierce, flawless, empowered and absolutely gorgeous" in the pieces.
"Dionne isn't just my family, she has been in my life since I was nine," Elliott said of her mother-in-law. "If it wasn't for her, my life would've been completely different. I look at her as my role model, my mentor."
While Warwick and Elliott have a very close familial bond, when they work together, it's strictly business: "When we talk about business, we are talking about business and that's it," the health and wellness guru said. "She is incredible. She encourages and empowers me a lot."
The admiration is not one-sided. The "That's What Friends Are For" singer spoke highly of her daughter-in-law, saying, "Luana is a fitness trainer and her creation of active wear was a natural evolution. Working with her is an absolute joy. What could be more stimulating than working with family?"
