One-third of The Breakfast Club trio DJ Envy found himself steeping in the internet’s hot water on Wednesday (May 24) after posting a screenshot of a text message between him and his wife, Gia Casey.

The two jokingly exchanged words over a fake emergency that she pranked Envy with. All seemed to be fun and games until his followers stumbled across his choice of words in his response to Gia.

“Don’t scare me b**ch,” he wrote back.

Envy insists that not only was the word a joke, but him and his wife always josh around like such. Some of his less-bothered fans support that idea, arguing that him and his wife’s dynamic (not to mention how long they’ve been married) allows for such joking around. However, others aren’t so favoring of the verbal horseplay toward Casey, and have resurfaced his Desus & Mero conflict to demonstrate the contradiction.
