Erykah Badu Singing With Her Teenage Daughter, Puma, Will Blow You Away

The neo soul icon and her daughter were recently on ‘Good Morning Texas’ where they performed this classic from Erykah’s discography.

Erykah Badu is going all out for her upcoming birthday. On Wednesday (Feb. 26), the Queen of neo-soul will turn 49 years old. Ahead of her birthday celebration.  Erykah graced Good Morning Texas with her presence last Friday (Feb. 21). 

  • She was joined by her teenage daughter and mini-me, Puma Sabti Curry, where the two put on a soulful performance of Erykah’s timeless classic, “Time’s A Wastin'” mixed with Moonchild's “All The Joy," according to The Jasmine Brand. Erykah experienced a brief coughing bout during the performance, but her and Puma held it down beautifully. 

     

  • During their appearance, Erykah also spoke on motherhood and previewed some of her goods, including a crystal-infused water bottle that she released through her newly-launched digital storefront, Badu World Market. While her birthday celebration took place on Saturday (Feb. 22) in her hometown of Dallas, TX, there’s still plenty to celebrate! 

    Badu World Market is already making headlines.

    Prior to her online shop’s launch, the neo-soulstress told 10 Magazine of her plans to sell an incense imbued with her own scent. 

    “I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them,” she told the publication at the time, adding that “even the ash is part of it.” After her store launched, Erykah took to Instagram where she revealed that the premium incense sold out in 19 minutes

    It looks like 2020 is off to a great start for Fat Belly Bella.
