Damon Wayans Details Former 'Lethal Weapon' Co-Star's History Of On-Set Physical Abuse

The actor was recently fired by the network.

FOX announced, yesterday, that they have now replaced former Lethal Weapon star Clayne Crawford after firing him in connection to allegations of unprofessional and abusive on-set behavior.

While no further context on his reported actions have been made privy to the public since then, the show's leading man, Damon Wayans, is now breaking his silence, detailing new allegations of physical abuse by his former co-star.

Shortly after news of Crawford's replacement was confirmed, Wayans took to Twitter to share a series of accounts that he has since made private. However, USA Today obtained screenshots of the tweets which showed Wayans post pictures and descriptions of injuries he and others have suffered as a result of Crawford's alleged abuse.

The comedian/actor wrote that Crawford reportedly "hit another actor in the mouth with a bottle of green tea and busted his mouth open." He went on to tag actor Lance Henriksen in the tweet.

In another, posted to Vanity Fair, he wrote, "Put up with this two seasons. Kiss the dark side of my a*s if you don't understand it wasn't just me. @ClayneCrawford has a file of infractions."

On a more personal note, he further confirmed early reports that he was allegedly hit in the head with a piece of shrapnel during an episode Crawford was directing. Wayans shared a photo of the alleged injury he suffered, which showed him bleeding from his head. Crawford addressed this incident back in April, claiming in an Instagram post that he apologized for the on-set conflict and that he had completed studio-mandated therapy. He failed to mention Wayans' name in the post.
