This Rapper Is Getting Dragged On The Internet After Saying He’s ‘Starting To Like Trump’

“Trump might would’ve got my vote if I wasn’t a felon.”

Memphis rapper Blocboy JB has some thoughts on Donald Trump

  • While Trump has been facing criticism in regard to how his administration is handling the coronavirus pandemic, JB offered his perspective on the White House occupant. On Friday (March 20), JB took to Twitter to inform his followers that he’s taken a liking to Trump. “I’m Starting To Like Trump No Cap,” the Memphis rapper admitted. “Dude A** [Too] Gangsta.”

On Instagram, the “Look Alive” MC added that Trump might’ve “got [his] vote if [he] wasn’t a felon.”

  • Though absent from JB’s acknowledgement, his thoughts arrived on the same day Trump caught flak online for verbally lashing out at NBC News reporter Peter Alexander. During a press briefing, Alexander asked the president what he would say to Americans frightened by the pandemic as the number of cases skyrocket across the nation. Trump called Alexander “a terrible reporter” and said his question was a “very nasty question.” JB’s sentiments also come in light of Trump falling under fire for initially misleading the public about the severity of the coronavirus.

  • Suffice to say, fans are roasting him in his mentions. It’s not clear if JB was simply joking, but fans are not here for the endorsement either way. “Hell to da naw!” one person responded on Twitter. “Don’t like that dude just ‘cause he's throwing some checks around. That don’t mean s**t!!!” a second person chimed in.
