Young Thug Confirms Carter 6 Release

Weezy is not going to be happy about this.

Lil Wayne, if you’re reading this it’s too late.

Young Thug has decided to go forward with calling his new album Carter 6, Complex reports. The Atlanta rapper made the official announcement by way of a song snippet on Instagram Tuesday (March 17) hashtagged #CARTER6OTW.

Granted, he already said this would happen. In Young Thug’s mind, the title is a salute to the rapper who basically carried Cash Money at the start.

It’s doubtful that Weezy will see it that way, especially since he's not a fan of Cash Money at the moment. This could also become a legal issue. Jacking what would presumably be a follow-up to Wayne’s Carter V album, while the New Orleans native is still fighting with the label to unhand his music, is the exact opposite of flattering.

Birdman shouldn't have let this fly.
