After his tragic, unexpected death earlier this week, the family of hip-hop legend Heavy D has announced their funeral plans.
There will be a public viewing on Thursday, November 17, at which any fans who wish to pay last respects to the rapper/dancer/actor are encouraged to show up. A private wake will follow that evening. Heavy D will then be laid to rest at a private funeral ceremony at the historic Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, N.Y, where Hev was raised. According to TMZ, the invite list will only be comprised of close family members and friends, including Diddy, Mary J. Blige and the Wayans brothers. Eddie F and G-Whiz, both former members of Heavy D and the Boyz, are also expected to be in attendance.
Heavy D died this past Tuesday at his home in Beverly Hills. He was 44 years old.
