The new season of Empire begins tonight, and according to new reports, the drama on-set has already begun between the show's leading lady, Taraji P. Henson, and new addition Nia Long.
TMZ reports that the ladies are "at each other's throats" on the set to the point where producers almost had to shoot their scenes separately.
The site also claims that multiple sources on set said the Love Jones actress was rude to the hair, makeup and wardrobe people, which, in turn, upset Taraji. Nia's reps have since denied these allegations.
According to insiders, both ladies have stopped speaking to each other in passing on set.
In the upcoming season, Nia will play Lucious Lyon's ex, who comes back into the picture while he entertains the thought of reuniting with Cookie. Nia's recurring role is said to have wrapped after season three and sources added that she will not return for season four.
Nia's rep reached out to TMZ and explained that all of the gossip is completely false.
"This story is complete nonsense," her rep said. "Throughout her long, established career, Nia has been nothing but a consummate professional, treating all members of productions with respect. This is nothing but another complete fabrication about a series that has been plagued by constant rumors of drama and misconduct."
Season three of Empire begins tonight on Fox.
