This Is the Lupita and Rihanna Movie Twitter Wants to See
The internet can get pretty random. Just about anything can go viral with the right timing and people seeing and retweeting the ideas/statements.
That’s exactly what happened over the last week. Twitter was just plugging along, enjoying the splendors of 420, Donald Trump’s first 100 days review and eventually the NBA Playoffs when someone decided to bring up something from the past that, unbeknownst to them, could possibly create something big in the future.
Last Tuesday (April 18), a Twitter user dug up a photo from 2014 that was pretty amazing, but not very publicized at the time it originally hit the internet. It was a flick of Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o front row at Paris Fashion Week.
Looking amazing, the two could only be having the most amazing conversation ever as some of the most beautiful designs of the future strutted by the amazing duo. The actual pic captured had them both intently looking on as the models were presumably walking by. The Twitter user captioned the now-legendary photo, “A picture for the history books.”
That's when the fan fiction began growing legs of its own...
And then 'Insecure' creator Issa Rae decided to chime in
With Issa's Twitter blessing, fans began creating a film plot whilst prodding Lupita – Apparently, she's down!
Then things slowed down as Rihanna was too busy fawning over LeBron James...
...But then she agreed to be a part!
Wait! Is that Lupita's Hollywood insiders nickname?
Oh, maybe not...
This got Issa Rae a little geeked about the possibility.
Then Rihanna kind of confirmed it...
