Atlanta rapper (as major media outlets covering the incident so specifically point out) T.I. was reportedly arrested on Wednesday morning (May 16) after attempting to get into—wait for it—his own home.

According to TMZ, Tip and a security guard covering the gated community where his residence is located got into a heated verbal exchange at the security premises. He reportedly didn’t have his key, the presumable cause of the exchange between him, the guard, and one of Tip’s friends. Eventually, TMZ updates, Tip was let onto the property, but returned to continue his altercation with the guard.

TMZ further adds that Henry County police showed up and arrested the Us or Else artist on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, though no details of any physical interactions have been reported. Thankfully, however, he’s already out from behind bars with no bail, TMZ concluded, and he’s celebrating in the only way the Harris patriarch knows how: with his family and for his son Major’s 10th birthday.
