R&B/soul songstress K. Michelle performed her latest release, “The Rain,” a rendition of New Edition’s “Can You Stand the Rain,” at the 2019 Soul Train Awards, and Black Twitter is giving her a standing ovation. Her sultry vocals have soothed the ears of the internet amid the New Edition-inspired nostalgia spurring from the 1988 classic. With a simplistic white stage set, the Memphis native focused on her breathtaking delivery centered between a troupe of dancers donned in all white.
