Gabourey Sidibe Slays in Black Lingerie for V Magazine

The actress shuts down body shamers once again.

Gabourey Sidibe has been repping for confident women ever since she first broke onto the scene in Hollywood, and has proven once again that she is unbothered by what the body shamers think with a sexy new spread for V Magazine’s 100th anniversary issue. In the black-and-white photos, Gaby looks gorgeous in black lingerie and long braids:

This is not the first time the Academy Award-nominated actress has appeared in V. She was featured on the cover photo for the magazine’s “Size Issue” back in 2010, a shoot she even referenced recently with a #flashbackfriday post on Instagram. “@vmagazine marked a huge milestone in my journey and I am grateful to them,” she captioned the pic:

Despite hateful backlash from a vocal minority every time she flaunts her stuff, Sidibe clearly isn't letting other people's opinions slow her down. A few months ago, the Empire star took major heat for her character’s racy rooftop love scene, but Sidibe stood up for the scene, and for herself.

"Also, yes. I, a plus-size, dark-skinned woman, had a love scene on prime-time television," she wrote after recapping the episode. "I keep hearing that people are 'hating' on it. I'm not sure how anyone could hate on love but that's OK. You may have your memes. Honestly, I'm at work too busy to check Twitter anyway. #Booked."

Slay, Gaby. Slay.
