Drake is clearly a huge supporter of Apple Music. If his recent partnership with the company's newest venture didn't prove it, then his official debut on the service's Beats 1 Radio station may do the trick. The "Energy" MC was on air with Zane Lowe on Apple Music and he touched on everything from his upcoming album to his upcoming OVO Sound radio.
The Canada-born MC started the interview talking about his stay in London, which was extended after he headlined Wireless Festival last weekend. He then revealed that he is still in the U.K. for one particular reason: he's currently collaborating on new music siwth Skepta.
"As far as Skepta goes, I spent a long time just being a fan from a distance," he said. "Really, what solidified it for me was getting a chance to meet Skeppie. I'm sure anybody that's listening that's had an encounter with him knows he's one of the best guys you'll ever meet... He's one of the most thorough, solid... lives up to the hype."
After showing his admiration for Skepta, Drake touched on his OVO duo Majid Jordan and talked about their new project before exclusively debuting their single, "My Love," which he is featured on.
The meat of the interview came closer to the end where he gave some updates on his highly anticipated album Views From the 6. While he didn't reveal how far he's gotten, he did say that it's still in the works. "I'm working on the album... It's going to be a good ride," he said. "We're working. I never like to say close or far, but we're working and working with 40 is the best possible thing I can do for any project."
Before wrapping up the interview, Drake officially announced his OVO Sound radio which is set to air alternating Saturdays 3p.m. to 5p.m. starting today. He even teased about it on Twitter.
