We’re counting down the days until the 2021 BET Awards. As we prepare for the star-studded event, we decided to revisit some of the most fashionable performance attire ever worn on the stage. Below, check out some of our favorite ensembles over the years that continue to make Awards night unforgettable.
Jhené Aiko didn’t come to play when she performed at the 2014 BET Awards. While singing alongside John Legend, the “None Of Your Concern” singer served up fairy goddess vibes while wearing a beige crop top and matching sheer skirt.
Jhene Aiko is nominated for ‘Best R&B / Pop Artist’ this year.
SZA didn’t miss a beat when she stepped onto the 2017 BET Awards stage. Performing with a backdrop reminiscent of the CTRL album cover behind her, the “Love Galore” singer kept things cool in a gray and black ensemble, which featured a gray bodysuit and camouflage chaps.
This year, SZA is nominated for ‘Best R&B / Pop Artist.’
Cardi B opened the 2019 BET Awards in grand fashion. The “Press” rapper fabulously showed off her forest-green ensemble as she danced on stage. Just look at the glittery detailing of her sparkling green corset. Perfection!
This year, Cardi has been nominated for multiple awards including ‘Video of the Year’ and ‘Best Female Hip Hop Artist.’
HER gave a powerful performance during the 2019 BET Awards. The multi-talented artist delivered a spoken word piece and song entitled, “Lord Is Coming” in an all black ensemble with a complimenting bedazzled beret. Of course, she was sure to complete her look with a pair of designer frames.
This year, HER is nominated for ‘Best R&B / Pop Artist’ and the ‘Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award.’
The 2020 BET Awards being held virtually due to the pandemic didn’t stop Chloe x Halle from creating a memorable performance. The singing sisters took the virtual stage in matching, but not similar black latex looks while performing “Forgive Me.”
The “Do It” singers are nominated for ‘Album Of The Year,’ ‘Best Group,’ and ‘Video Of The Year.’
