Like every politician, Harris is usually seen wearing very professional and formal attire. However, onlookers caught a glimpse of her in a casual look and a protective face mask this week. She arrived in Milwaukee as she continues her campaign trail wearing a pair of classic black Converse All-Stars. Women in politics have always been under scrutiny for their choice in wardrobe, so we're glad to see that the Senator is making a statement and wearing what she pleases.
This classic sneaker seems to be her favorite, as she was seen in them on several occasions while campaigning as a Democratic presidential candidate.
Whether they're with a blazer and tailored pants or skinny jeans and a casual shirt, Harris mainly wears Converse's affordable Chuck Taylor All Star low-top sneakers ($50). It's an easy-to-wear, unisex style that is one of the brand's most iconic and best-selling shoes. We're glad that she's ditched the heels and has given them a style all her own!

Vice President-elect Kamala Harris is featured on the cover of the February 2021 issue of Vogue. The cover photo, which began circulating on social media late Saturday, shows Harris with her arms crossed wearing a dark suit and her trademark Converse sneakers in front of a pink and green back drop — an ode to Harris' sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha. Harris’ team was allegedly blind-sided by the print cover image. Some felt that the photo was underwhelming in comparison to the digital cover.
Vogue released their digital cover with the VP-elect wearing a powder blue Michael Kors pants suit. Photographed by Tyler Mitchell, this is Vogue's third time in history commissioning a Black photographer to shoot a cover. Tyler first photographed Beyoncé's iconic Vogue cover back in 2019. Vogue hired a Black staff to execute the cover story. The Vice President-elect's glam team, the sittings editor, and the writer for the historic feature are all Black women.
