Following the sickening murder of George Floyd, which was captured on camera and broadcasted worldwide, all eyes were on the Kardashian-Jenner family as many celebrities (and brands) from around the world used their social media platforms to protest against racial injustices.
Known for showcasing their love and inspiration for Black culture—with our hairstyles, nails, fashions, etc. plastered all over their social media—many Black Lives Matter supporters felt like it was only right that Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and their matriarch Kris Jenner use their voices to speak out against racism.
In case you were wondering, here’s a timeline of their official Instagram responses to the untimely death of George Floyd on May 25, along with their public support to the BLM movement.
Kris was first, two days after the murder, with a grammatically incorrect post, but followed it up with a steady stream of righteous anger.
Kylie was next. but many found her timing to be suspect as she was exposed by Forbes as having fabricated her business projections and they stripped her of her billionaire status that very same day.
Kim's post came five days after the murder which surprised many people because she has been publicly studying the law and trying to rebrand herself as a new face of justice.
Last was Kendall, who infamously appreciated in a Pepsi commercial that made a mockery of protesting in 2017.
And finally, Kourtney, who is the only Kardashian without Black offspring.
Rob Kardashian, who lives a private life and has for the past few years has also remained silent.
