Wedding Bells!: Cardi B Offers To Officiate Kal Penn’s Wedding

The actor announced that he was engaged to his partner, Josh, of 11 years.

Cardi B is apparently licensed to officiate weddings and it looks like actor Kal Penn could be the next wedding where she puts her skills to work.

Penn announced he was engaged to his longtime partner, Josh, of 11 years during an interview with PEOPLE last week and followed up a few days later about a dream that he had on a recent flight about his upcoming wedding day.

“Cardi B was on my flight to LA,” Penn wrote. “I fell asleep and had a dream that she officiated our wedding on the plane and the three of us walked out of LAX holding hands.”

In a sweet turn of events, Cardi caught wind of the tweet and hilariously chastised Penn for not speaking to her on the flight, that they both were on and responded to his request.

“First, why didn’t you say hi!,” she responded. “Second, I’m licensed to do that sooo…….. Let me know.”

To which Penn responded, “Let’s do it!. We’re down if you’re down!” and Cardi wrote back “I’m down I’ll get my suit.”

Kal Penn met his fiancé while working as a former White House staff member in the Barack Obama administration. Announcing his engagement to his fans last week, the Indian-American actor also publicly came out, Huff Post reports

“I discovered my own sexuality relatively late in life compared to many other people,” Penn exclusively told People while promoting his new memoir You Can’t Be Serious. “There’s no timeline on this stuff. People figure their s**t out at different times in their lives, so I’m glad I did when I did.”
