Donald Trump Says He's Taking A "Firm Stance To Protect Our Cops" And People Are Disgusted
Since he began his campaign, Donald Trump’s always made the promise that he’ll “protect police” and “make our inner cities safe again.”
We’re not following the jig, so we know EXACTLY what that means. Still, it’s tough to hear it every time it comes out of his big orange head. At his rally in Melbourne, Florida on Saturday (February 18), The Donald reiterated he would follow through on his campaign promise and “take a very firm, firm stance” to protect police from harm and will “stop the drugs from coming in” by going after international cartels.
“Safety is a civil right. We will fight to make America safe again,” Trump for like the millionth time.
BTW, police are safer now than pretty much any time in modern history. It’s who they’re “policing” who isn’t.
This soundbite got people on the web understandably angry. “There it is. Trump just announced he will have the DOJ/DHS create a task force to protect cops and to sweep the inner city,” someone tweeted. “Black men being murdered by police all over the US & Trump signs executive order to protect the police,” another wrote.
Check out what Donald Trump recently said about protecting police and the reaction to it below.
