Meet The Pastor Who Brought The Holy Ghost To Meghan And Harry's Wedding And Stole The Show

"Them white folks wasn't ready for that preaching."

If you didn’t know who Reverend Michael Curry is, you do now.

  • The 27th presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church was born in Chicago and took his Windy CIty roots across the ocean over to Windsor, delivering a sermon for the ages.

At the mostly white royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, onlookers not used to such fiery preaching were given a brand new experience.

Curry became the first black presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church when he was appointed in 2015. In the past he’s spoken out on social justice issues, including LGBT rights and sexual abuse.
