Oprah Reps Say Rumors That O.J. Confessed Are Not True
What in the name of double jeopardy?
Some media outlets are reporting that O.J. Simpson allegedly confessed to a producer for Oprah Winfrey that he murdered his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Brown in self-defense.
But, don’t believe the hype—Oprah’s reps are saying that the reports are “not true.”
The National Enquirer reported that Simpson drove to his ex-wife’s home in 1994 to confront her about an earlier incident at their daughter’s school, and it was there where Nicole lunged at him with a kitchen knife.
“Before I knew what I was doing, I took the knife away from Nicole and started slashing at her. I cut her over and over again until she was lifeless,” the Enquirer reports he said.
Simpson is currently serving a nine-year sentence for an attempted robbery in Vegas.
Just last week Oprah told cable industry executives attending the National Cable & Telecommunications Association convention in Chicago that she has a dream of O.J. Simpson confessing to her on her new show, Oprah's Next Chapter.
“I don’t just want the interview. I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson,” she said.
Though it may not be a new car, only time will tell if this will be one of Oprah’s surprises on her struggling new network.
