Many people are heartbroken over the shooting death of Toya Wright’s two brothers. Even former rivals like K. Michelle have expressed their condolences for Wright and her family.

August Alsina though may be the most heartbroken over the recent incident. He took to Instagram yesterday (August 1) and had a message for his hometown companion.

“I’m so sorry Toya,” he captioned in the post next to a photo of him with Wright. “I know your pain too many times over. 
Sending so much light & love your way. Forever praying for my city, OUR city, New Orleans.”

Alsina is no stranger to family tragedy. His brother Melvin La’Branch III also succumbed to gun violence in 2010.

Toya Wright’s brothers, Rudy and Josh Johnson, were both reportedly killed in a New Orleans shooting early Sunday morning. No suspects have been named in the incident, which was announced to Wright while she was performing at a show. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Toya during this difficult time.
