3 Times An Artist Sampled ‘Best R&B/Soul Male Artist’ Nominee Usher

This year, the “Confessions” singer’s hustle earned him a nomination for “Best R&B/Soul Male Artist” at the 2021Soul Train Awards. Not only did Summer sample Usher’s Soul Train Award-winning and Grammy-nominated track but she had some help from the originator of the song himself who was also featured in the music video.
Ro James “Last Time”
The Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter made his return to the music scene following a brief hiatus with the flip of Usher’s 2004 slow jam “Can You Handle It?” off his 2004 album Confession (Expanded Edition).
Dvsn “Between Us” (feat. Snoh Aalegra)
The Canadian R&B duo sampled Usher’s classic track “Nice & Slow,” off the singer’s sophomore album My Way.
