The Lox Heading Out on Trinity Tour

New York trio gearing up for trek through North America and Canada.

The Lox will set out on a three-month tour to promote their The Trinity EP, released late last year. The Trinity Tour begins this Friday (Feb. 28) in Waterbury, Conn.

From there, the jaunt expects to hit New York City; Chicago; Washington, D.C., Boston; and Los Angeles, before wrapping up with four Canadian dates through May 11. More shows will be announced at a later date.

Beyoncé led the way for The Trinity release. Like Mrs. Carter, the Lox dropped their latest album on iTunes minus advance notice. The mini-effort featuring only four tracks, "Faded," "Talk About It," "Love Me or Leave Me Alone" and "Three Kings," sold 8,400 copies in its first week.

Lox member Styles P explained during a Hot 97 interview that label "politics" held up We Are the Streets 2, the follow-up to their millennial sophomore release. At the time, P promised not to let Def Jam Records stop the Lox from producing a new project, now 14 years after the first installment. "We'll get around the politics and you will get a body of music," he said.

In the meantime, fans can check for the Lox in the flesh. Tickets for Friday's show are available via www.showclix.com.
