Do Not Let the Day Go By Without Seeing Bad-Ass Taraji P. Henson in the Trailer for 'Proud Mary'

The actress is kicking some serious butt.

Taraji P. Henson has another powerhouse role on her hands with her new film Proud Mary and she's fully equipped to kill as shown in the high-octane trailer.

In the highly anticipated film, Henson plays a hitwoman who works for an organized crime family in Boston.

The soundtrack to the trailer is fittingly Tina Turner's iconic song "Proud Mary" — sans Ike Turner — and features the actress getting ready for battle, strapping up in her leather and heels. Things take a serious bad-ass turn when she is seen visiting a secret weapons closet.

According to the film's logline, Mary's life "is completely turned around when she meets a young boy whose path she crosses when a professional hit goes bad."

Proud Mary premieres in theaters on January 12, 2018.
