Whoa! We expected the stars to honor Prince throughout this year’s BET Awards, but NOBODY was prepared for this.

Janelle Monáe kicked off  her segment of the musical tribute wearing a white ensemble reminiscent of the iconic singer’s style. The ‘fit was super cute, but things got real cheeky real fast when she turned around and we got a glimpse of her bare derriere.

Immediately after her performance, host Anthony Anderson added to the shock value by donning a similar Prince-inspired outfit featuring — yes, you guessed it — cheekless chaps.

What was Tracee Ellis Ross's reaction after her co-host and Black-ish co-star went cheekless? “Can we all have a moment of silence,” was her response. Our sentiments exactly!
