Abercrombie & Fitch Slammed for Insensitive Tweet About LGBT Pride

Twitter dragged the clothing brand.

Ambercrombie & Fitch recently upset several of its LGBTQ-identifying customers after posting a tweet generalizing LGBT Pride month.

The clothing brand took to Twitter to share a sweater with the word "Love" printed on the front in rainbow colors, paired with the caption, " The Pride community is everybody, not just LGBT people."

  • Many found issue with the tweet as June, which is known as LGBT Pride Month, worldwide, is considered the one time of year where members of the LGBT community can exclusively celebrate being themselves and have it be globally acknowledged.

    Hence, many did not appreciate the brand looping in the heterosexual community in the matter.
