Here's How the Internet Feels About Future's Mother's Day Message to Ciara

What custody battle?

R&B songstress Ciara and Atlanta trap rap star Future have had one whirlwind of a romance-turned-co-parenting relationship.

With a custody battle, lyrical sub shots and a hyper-sensationalized grudge between Future and Ciara’s husband and father of their newborn baby girl, Russell Wilson, fans from both parties have tirelessly rivaled in the name of both Fewtch and CiCi, respectively. And tireless they are, as fans of the FutureHive angrily swarmed to Wilson for his inclusion of 2-year-old Future Zahir, Fewtch’s son, as one of his children in his Mother’s Day message to Ciara.

But in an unexpected turn, Fewtch set aside any petty left to pick at with his former flame in honor of the maternal holiday, and penned a brief, but genuine, caption for her. Not, however, without the internet weighing in on the Instagram post afterward.

  1. Celebrating his wife's mommyhood, Wilson penned a loving post to the mother of two, making sure to include both his newborn baby girl and baby Future

  2. Though FutureHive fans didn't take kindly to Wilson's post, a few found surprise at the father of four's recognition to CiCi on that same day

  3. For some, that surprise so happened to be pleasant...

  5. For others, a bit confusing...

  6. And for the rest, hopeful for a final end to the Ciara-Future war that fans have kept close tabs on

  7. Still, some fans called out an ulterior message beneath Fewtch's genuineness

  10. As for everyone else, some things just never change.
