‘Prince: The Immersive Experience’ To Debut In Chicago

The interactive exhibit is headed to Chi-Town this summer!

Prince: The Immersive Experience is headed to downtown Chicago this summer just in time for fans of the late entertainer to walk through a recreation of Paisley Park’s Studio A, his Purple Rain cover and more.

According to Rolling Stone, the interactive exhibit was created by Superfly in partnership with the Prince Estate and offers at least 10 multidimensional spaces that take visitors through the many layers of his life, music and creative evolution.

“You’re going to be able to step in in a Purple Rain album cover,” Superfly co-founder Kerry Black shared with the outlet. “Where you can get your photo up on the motorcycle. But we’re also doing a full buildout of the entire street scene, right? So there’s going to be the First Avenue club and a bunch of the stores.”

The Immersive Experience will have some of Prince’s original wardrobe and instruments alongside replicas on display. In addition to highlighting his music and entertainment endeveaors, fans should also be prepared to be immersed in other important areas of his life.

“We really think about this as an entertainment experience and you’re going to have fun. But we will have that learning [component] as well,” Black says. “So, we’re going to have rooms around his activity in social justice, and his championing of artists rights and things of that nature.”
