‘My Body, My Choice’: Megan Thee Stallion Rallies Against Roe Ruling At Performance

She was performing at England's Glastonbury Festival.

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion used her sizeable platform to protest against the Supreme Court’s ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade, allowing states to ban abortion.

The 27-year-old rapper railed against the decision while performing at England’s Glastonbuty Festival on Sunday, just two days after the ruling,which sent shockwaves around the globe. She particularly called out her home state of Texas, where abortion is illegal once a heartbeat can be detected.

“Texas [is] really embarrassing me right now,” she said, according to Complex. “I wanna have it on the record, that the hot boys and hot girls do not support this bulls**t that y’all campaigning for.”

She then whipped the crowd into a frenzy, urging to chant “My body, my motherf***ing choice.”

It was not the first time the rapper denounced the decision. Just hours after the ruling was announced on Friday (June 24), she blasted the Supreme Court in a post on Instagram. She rallied support behind Planned Parenthood’s Bans Off Our Bodies movement.

“The court has failed us all — but we won’t back down,” she wrote. “I’m going to keep fighting because everyone deserves access to the care they need.”

She is not alone. On Friday (June 24), Lizzo also joined the fight, announcing that she’s teaming up with Live Nation to donate $1 million to Planned Parenthood.
