LeBron James's clapback tweet slamming Donald Trump hit the hardest to the point where it was re-tweeted over 651,000 times and liked upwards of 1.5 million times as of Monday morning. Kobe Bryant ripped 45 in similar fashion with a tweet of his own. And now basketball's GOAT has broken his silence as well.

In response to the controversial president of the United States calling any NFL player protesting during the national anthem a "son of a b***h" and disinviting Steph Curry from the White House, Michael Jordan denounced Trump over his latest form of "divisiveness."

“One of the fundamental rights this country is founded on was freedom of speech, and we have a long tradition of nonviolent, peaceful protest," Jordan said in a statement to the Charlotte Observer. "Those who exercise the right to peacefully express themselves should not be demonized or ostracized."

He added: “At a time of increasing divisiveness and hate in this country, we should be looking for ways to work together and support each other and not create more division. I support Commissioner Adam Silver, the NBA, its players and all those who wish to exercise their right to free speech.”

Over the weekend, Trump tried to spin it as if he was disinviting Curry from the White House, even though the two-time NBA champion already said that he wouldn't attend. Curry's Golden State Warriors teammate and the NBA Finals MVP, Kevin Durant, added that he wouldn't visit Trump's White House either.
