DDG Files to Stop Halle Bailey from Traveling Internationally with Son, Alleges She's a ‘Risk’

The court motion includes accusations of emotional distress and a past gun incident.

DDG has filed a motion asking the court to stop ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey from taking their 17-month-old son, Halo, on an international trip, claiming she poses a risk to their child’s emotional and physical well-being.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the rapper and YouTuber submitted the emergency request on Wednesday, June 4, seeking to prevent “The Little Mermaid” star from taking their toddler on a vacation to Italy.

The 27-year-old social media star alleges Bailey presents an “imminent emotional and psychological risk to the minor child based on repeated, documented threats of self-harm.”

He also filed for a domestic violence restraining order, claiming that if Halo travels overseas, he would be “without the protections of the Court and any emergency intervention mechanisms.”

The filing includes additional claims that Bailey made “repeated threats of suicide and self-harm,” and allegedly endangered their son’s safety during emotional distress.

In one alleged incident, DDG says Bailey took his gun during a fight and left the house. He claims he later found her outside holding the firearm and described her as “emotionally unwell, incoherent, and potentially suicidal.”

The filing comes just weeks after the “Angel” singer was granted temporary physical and legal custody of Halo in May, following allegations that DDG had physically and emotionally abused her. That order also required him to stay over 100 yards away from both Bailey and their son.

The temporary restraining order expired on June 4, the date of the scheduled court hearing.

Bailey, in her earlier filing, requested that DDG not be granted any visitation. However, she later requested supervised visits, limiting them to six hours weekly in Los Angeles, with a professional monitoring company. She also asked the court to prevent DDG from taking Halo outside of L.A. County.

Neither party has publicly commented on the latest legal filings. The former couple began dating in 2022 and split in 2024.
