Man Says He Dropped 15-Year-Old Son And Girlfriend Off At A Park To Have Sex And ‘Do Their Thang’
A Florida father faces charges for driving his 15-year-old son and his teen girlfriend to a park so they could have sex, or “do their thang,” as he put it.
Laurence Mitchell, 53, was arrested earlier this month after an officer spotted him sitting in his car after-hours at McChesney Park in Port St. Lucie, according to The Smoking Gun.
When he was confronted by police, Mitchell said his son asked him to drive the couple to the park so they could “so they can do what kids do,” according to police.
Mitchell also allegedly admitted that he didn’t know if the girl’s parents consented to her being out with his son.
“Well, they aren’t out there stealing, they are just having sex,” Mitchell allegedly said to the cop. “They could be out there doing worse,” he added.
The police officer then confronted the teen couple after they returned from the soccer field, the TCPalm reported.
Mitchell’s son reportedly told the officer that he and his girlfriend were “just smokin’ and f–kin’.”
Police said the teen girl admitted that she and Mitchell’s son “were engaged in sexual activity.”
When asked if Mitchell's dad knew that, she answered, “Well, I mean he drove us out here. But I don’t know.”
Police arrested Mitchell, who was booked at St. Lucie County Jail on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was released on $750 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 25 in court.
