Biden Confirms VP Harris Will Be His Running Mate In 2024

There were rumors that the first Black woman VP would be replaced.

President Joe Biden confirmed at a Jan. 19 press conference that Vice President Kamala Harris will be his running mate in 2024.

NBC reporter Kristen Welker asked if Harris would be on his 2024 ticket and if he was “satisfied” with her job on voting rights policies.

Biden quickly responded with, “Yes and yes.”

The reporter pressed him to elaborate and he added, “There’s no need to. She’s going to be my running mate, number one. And number two, I did put her in charge. I think she’s doing a good job.”

Last week, Harris was asked by NBC reporter Craig Melvin about rumors that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) would replace her on the ticket. She shut down the rumors as “high-class gossip” and said she was focused on the work the “American people sent us here to do.”

Today marks one year since the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
