On Friday night, David Finney, 39, was killed in the Morgan Park neighborhood after a domestic dispute, police say. Finney was shot by another man with whom he had been arguing. He was pronounced dead at a nearby medical center. His attacker is in custody while police investigate the shooting.
Meanwhile, victims of gun violence were remembered with statues in a public exhibit called "Unforgotten," which was unveiled in the city this past weekend, the Chicago Tribune reports. The life-size statues take on the victims' measurements and likeness. But they do not have faces.

The public awareness campaign by the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence will be traveling around the state, but families of the eight victims memorialized in the exhibit were given an opportunity to view it first.
There have been 85 victims of gun violence in Chicago in 2015 so far, according to Red Eye Chicago homicide tracker.
