d4vd’s Manager Breaks Silence As Fans Question Singer’s Ties To Ongoing Investigation

The ‘Romantic Homicide’ artist hasn’t been named a suspect, but his manager is speaking out to clear the air.

Josh Marshall, the manager for singer and songwriter d4vd has publicly responded to rumors after 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s body was discovered in the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to the singer. Marshall denied any involvement and stated he “had zero knowledge of anything.”

Marshall commented in the TikTok replies section under the handle “@JMogul.” He said, “I never received any emails. I had zero knowledge of anything and I don’t live in California.” He added, “Also I work remotely 95% of the time and my job doesn’t require me to have much interaction with any of my clients/David, as there are many others that work with him on a day to day capacity, not me.”

According to Los Angeles Magazine, these statements came in response to private investigator claims that concerned parties sent Marshall an email in 2024 alleging the then-missing girl, might be with d4vd. The day after that email was allegedly sent, Rivas Hernandez returned home.

Marshall also said, “This news is tragic for so many and for her family. I hope the proper authorities get to the bottom of it soon. Let me remind people a lot of this is speculation and alleged. In the meantime, I am with my family helping them emotionally get through the news of this tragedy. Please report on factual information.” He confirmed to Los Angeles Magazine that the TikTok response was his own.

At this moment, d4vd has not been named a suspect nor charged in connection with Rivas Hernandez’s death. Officials say they have found no definitive link between the singer and the teen.

SFGate reported that Marshall leased a home in Hollywood Hills for d4vd and Marshall broke the lease shortly after investigators with the LAPD's robbery and homicide division served a search warrant there and seized electronics. LAPD Captain and Commanding Officer Scot M. Williams told People that he can’t confirm what was seized.

Los Angeles County’s Medical Examiner is still investigating the cause and manner of death. Officials have also noted that while the teen and d4vd both share the same “Shhh” tattoos, investigators say it’s still “premature” to conclude anything about their relationship. Meanwhile, the community and fans remain on edge as more details emerge.
