Will Smith's Two Million Trailer Upsetting New Yorkers

Will Smith's resting spot angering SoHo residents.

As Will Smith sits comfortably in his sprawling $2 million dollar trailer during breaks from shooting Men in Black III, his new neighbors are becoming increasingly annoyed with his presence.

The New York Post reports that Smith has constructed a huge double-decker moveable mansion in the middle of SoHo – although he’s also renting a luxury apartment less than one mile away. At 1,150 square feet the trailer is larger than many apartments in the area. Nicknamed “The Heat,” Smith’s resting spot includes a lounge, movie room with a 100-inch screen, marble floors, along with offices for his assistants and writing staff. There’s even a large bedroom and all-granite bathroom.

It’s a sight to see, but for some an eyesore. One neighbor told the Post, "It’s ridiculous! I've lived here 26 years, and I've never seen anything this size. This thing is like a duplex," said Reisman. "How would Will Smith feel if I parked that thing out in front of his house? People forget this is a residential neighborhood, not a film lot -- that thing is taking up half our gasoline reserve."

Another complained of odors, explaining the paper, "The smell that comes along with it is disgusting. It's like living in a gas station. I really like Will Smith, but I would be embarrassed if that was my trailer. A little modesty goes a long way."

On Wednesday, the mayor of New York ordered for the trailer be moved and Columbia Pictuers immeadiately followed orders.  But where will Mr. Smith rest now?  Allegedly, he has a $25,000-a-month apartment less than a mile away from the Men in Black III set.
