Columbus Short is a free man, again.

After being sentenced to a year in jail for allegedly beating his wife, he was released after serving just 34 days.

According to TMZ, the former Scandal star pleaded no contest to physically assaulting his current wife, Aida Abramyan, during an argument back in November 2017.

He was, thus, sentenced to 36 months probation and domestic violence education. However, as a result of violating his probation that he was already serving for a bar fight dating back to 2014, he was sentenced to a year in jail.

He was booked on February 13, but was released on Monday night from the Los Angeles County Jail.

The reported reason for his early release: jail overcrowding.
