Azealia Banks Says Remy Ma Isn't 'In The Real Female Rap Conversation Anymore'

She got ticked after a quote Remy made on Ebro In The Morning.

Is there a woman rapper that Azealia Banks hasn’t bashed yet?

  • She’s gone after Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, Lil Kim and now, even further, Remy Ma.

Taking to Instagram, the Harlem rapper laid into Remy after she (at the least) saw the quote tweeted by a Twitter user in regards to the status of hip-hop for women when she left prison.

Remy said during an interview with Ebro In The Morning “When I came home it was nothing,” she detailed. “It was tumbleweeds blowing through as far as female artists in rap is concerned.”

It didn’t seem like any sort of sub diss to Azealia specifically, but unsurprisingly, she decided to make something out of nothing.

  • “Remy --- the hottest things you've release since you've been out of jail are nicki Minaj love letters and she's STILL miles more important than you. CHICHI is hotter than ANYTHING you've put out since you left jail,” she captioned in part under a screenshot of the Twitter user’s tweet of the Remy quote. “There's a video of you dissing nicki Minaj in a pathetic green jumpsuit with a dry ass bang and a white scrunchie. Your obsession with nicki Minaj is VERY UNHEALTHY. YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO FEMALE RAP IM NOT SURE WHO LIED TO YOU AND TOLD YOU.

“You are a confused nicki Minaj Stan at best these days,” she continued. “You are an auntie. You do not count in the real female rap conversation anymore. You are a reality tv star. Now ... check your email for Mona scotts day sheet and GO! You chose to die on the hill directly in nicki minajs shadow and that where you will stay!! You have no contributed a SINGLE ARTFUL THING TO FEMALE RAP. You tried coming for nicki and failed miserably now all of female rap is responsible for the tumbleweeds NICKI PAID YOU?!?!?!”

And it goes on and on...

The green jumpsuit diss Azealia’s referring to was during an interview Remy did while still incarcerated in 2010.

Social media was quick to jump on this latest Azealia attack. Some were in solidarity with her sentiments while others pointed out that Banks may be trying to defend Nicki, who would’ve been the most popping female rapper at the time of Remy’s release from jail. Everyone else is kind of tired of Azealia Banks’ hating tendencies.

Anyway, see some of the reaction below.
