Ahead of this year's event, we’re looking back at some of the hottest performances from last year’s show.

  • Lizzo

    The multitalented singer and songwriter Lizzo lit the stage at the 2022 ceremony  as the show opener, delivering a soulful rendition of her smash single “About Damn Time.”

  • Jack Harlow Feat. DJ Drama, Lil Wayne, and Brandy

    It was a star-studded event during Jack Harlow’s first-ever BET Award performance. The rapper was joined by DJ Drama and Lil Wayne for “Poison” and later legendary singer Brandy who dropped a surprise verse on “First Class.”

  • Doechii

    Doechii is increasingly becoming one of the hottest upcoming female rappers. From the amplified stage to the main stage, she gave a fiery performance of “Persuasive” and “Crazy.”

  • Latto Feat. Young Dirty Bastard and Mariah Carey

    Latto’s dreams came true at last year's event when she performed a show-stopping remix of “Big Energy” with the one and only Mariah Carey.

  • Tribute to Sean “Diddy” Combs

    Several artists came out to pay tribute to Diddy, including Shyne, Mary J. Blige, Busta Rhymes, The Lox, Lil Kim, Faith Evan, Maverick City Music, who performed a medley of classic and new songs from the Bad Boy founder. Records included “All About the Benjamins,” “I’ll Be Missin’ You,” “Gotta Move On,” and more.
