Meek Mill Posts An Emotional Tribute To Nipsey Hussle
It seems like the world came to a pause today (April 11) to lay Nipsey Hussle to rest.
Tons of fans, friends, family and celebrities showed up for the Slauson rapper’s funeral at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to pay their last respects. One of those in attendance was Meek Mill.
Prior to his untimely passing, it was announced that Nipsey and Meek and were working on a joint project. They were also very close for years. Now, the Philly native is relaying his tribute to Hussle via Instagram.
Under a picture of the two of them, Meek Mill wrote a beautiful message about their bond and pointed out Barack Obama’s letter about the fallen community leader.
“Obama wrote you a letter.... your life celebration was at the staples center.... you stayed down with your people... you you held your family down to the max ... you never folded and stood for something and you had a heart of gold!!” he wrote. “You took this shit to another level for us young kings! You gave us more value and I thank you for that! #hussleday.”

Snoop Dogg and YG also recognized that Obama released a letter honoring Nipsey Hussle. They both shared their thoughts during the funeral. Karen Civil, a longtime business associate of Nipsey’s, also read the letter at the memorial.
