GloRilla Has An Emotional Response To a Message From Her Father

Edwin C. Woods, the Memphis rapper's dad, surprised with a lovely tribute during her appearance on the "Tamron Hall Show."

GloRilla was brought to tears after receiving a touching message from her father.

Appearing on “The Tamron Hall Show” on Wednesday (April 5), the Memphis native spoke about visiting the White House and meeting President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in March.

But Hall surprised Glo with a video message from her dad,  Edwin C. Woods during the segment.

“I’m the father of GloRilla, otherwise known as my baby, Gloria Woods. I am very proud of my daughter,” Woods said in the video.

 “She has risen from humble beginnings to going to the White House. I am extremely proud of Gloria and may she have many, many more days of success,” Woods continued.

“I love my dad so much,” GlorRilla said after the video. “He’s one of the closest people to my heart.”

Recalling her meeting at the White House visit, Glorilla shared that the experience was unbelievable.

 “The moment I was walking through security and everything, it was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m here, I’m here, I’m here, I’m here.’ Once I got in, it was a beautiful feeling. I never would have expected to be in the White House,” she said.

In addition to making the rounds with Tamron Hall and hanging out at the White House, GloRilla will be coming to a town near you as a part of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer Tour."

The 31-city worldwide tour is produced by Live Nation and includes shows in the U.S. and across Europe.
