Looks like the new movies released this weekend were no match for the veterans at the box office. While we expected massive numbers from the Apple icon’s biopic Steve Jobs, the film shockingly didn't even place in the top five, earning a meager $7.3 million. Clearly, moviegoers care more about the release of the next iPhone than this film.
The Martian, starring Matt Damon and Chiwetel Ejiofor, took the top spot again this weekend after a month in release, with an additional $15.9 million in ticket sales. Jack Black's Goosebumps fell to second place with a not-too-shabby $15.5 million. With Halloween around the corner, we might see it fight it’s way back to the top next weekend.
Steven Spielberg's Bridge of Spies placed third with $11.3 million, Vin Diesel’s The Last Witch Hunter followed with $10.8 million and Hotel Transylvania 2 rounded out the top five with $9 million. 
Next week, Bradley Cooper’s Burnt goes up against political dramedy Our Brand Is Crisis, starring Sandra Bullock and Anthony Mackie, for the crown. Watch our controversial interview with Mackie talking about the film and his admiration for Donald Trump, below:
