‘Punk’: Young Thug Debuts At No.1 On Billboard 200 Albums Chart

He released his latest project on Oct. 15.

Lucky number three! Young Thug successfully achieved his third No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart on Oct. 30.

Releasing his latest album Punk, Thugger earned 90,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 21, according to MRC Data, Billboard reports.

Punk is a heavy-hitter with a handful of features from Drake, Travis Scott, J.Cole. A$AP Rocky, Future, Gunna, Juice WRLD, Doja Cat, Mac Miller, Post Malone and Nate Ruess.

“Punk is just real life stories. The whole album is purified. It’s just real,” the 30-year-old says, describing his album in an interview with Complex. “The whole album is just focused on one point.”

Young Thug previously reached the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart with his Slim Language 2 project released on Oct. 15, 2021, and his So Much Fun project released in 2019.
