Groundbreaking: Laverne Cox Is Coming to Primetime TV

The transgender actress has a major new gig.

Major congratulations are in order for Laverne Cox as it was recently confirmed that the actress' legal drama pilot, Doubt, was given a series order by CBS.

According to Deadline, the Orange Is the New Black favorite stars alongside Katherine Heigl in the drama, which tells the story of a smart, chic, successful defense attorney (played by Heigl) at a boutique firm. The plot takes a twist when she starts to fall for her client, who is suspected of being guilty of a heinous crime.

Also set to star in the series are Pasquale, Dulé Hill, Dreama Walker, Elliott Gould and Kobi Libii.
