Snoop Dogg’s Coronavirus Test Has The Internet Crying Laughing

Well, the results are in...

People around the U.S. are getting creative to keep their boredom at bay now that large swathes of the country have gone under lockdown to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Millions across the nation have gone under self-quarantine while the Trump administration assembles a task force. Sparse information is publicly known about the coronavirus, including that it’s a highly contagious respiratory illness. The U.S. government has been ramping up testing efforts across several states to nip the virus in the bud this past week despite a CNN report found that the U.S. government’s current measures to test for the virus are severely lacking.

  • However, West Coast rap icon Snoop Dogg jokingly offered another method for how people can test themselves for the coronavirus. Uncle Snoop posted a video to social media where he said that he doesn't have the coronavirus and even took a self-test to prove it.

In the video, Snoop draws in a deep breath that he holds for 10 seconds before releasing it.

  • It’s worth noting that this self-check test, which was falsely credited to the Stanford hospital board, has been debunked. It began circulating around social media amid the coronavirus outbreak. According to CNN, the original post falsely claimed that people could determine if they have the coronavirus by holding their breath for 10 seconds. If they didn’t experience a shortness of breath or cough, then they were in the clear.

Nonetheless, people are finding humor in Snoop’s joke in light of  the trying time we’re all under due to the coronavirus.
