Erykah Badu Is Holding A ‘Quarantine Concert Series’ From Her Bedroom And This Is How Much She’s Charging

Concerts, festivals and other music-related events have been canceled or postponed around the globe to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.

  1. However, the High Priestess of neo-soul Erykah Badu has stepped forward with a genius solution to bring entertainment to her fans from the comfort of their homes. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (March 17), Erykah announced her new “quarantine concert series” that she will be holding from her bedroom that listeners can tune in. The first installment will roll out this weekend and, all for the mere price of $1, fans can be a part of the sonical experience. 

    “Listen love, the show must go on,” she said in a minute-long clip uploaded to her Instagram page. “We gotta keep moving, y’all. We gotta keep this thing going. We’re a community of artists who...our survival depends on performing, creating, laughing, living, and loving when we’re still alive.”

  2. Badu assured her fans that more details about the interactive livestream experience are forthcoming. 

    “We gon’ pull it off. We gon’ be calm. You gon’ help me make it happen. Can’t do it without you. Stay tuned for details,” she captioned to the post. 

    Furthermore, fans will be able to curate the soundtrack of the concert series. Erykah further shared that she will be conducting a poll where they can pick which songs she performs.
