Fabolous And Jadakiss Face-Off Next In Verzuz Battle
Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are bringing their digital Instagram battle series, Verzuz, back to the East Coast.
Following Alicia Keys and John Legend’s Juneteenth face off, the superproducers took to social media to announce they have arranged for two New York rap OGs to step into the virtual ring next: Fabulous and Jadakiss.
“Back in the Zone. This Monday [Jadakiss] vs [Fabolous]. [Timbaland], paperwork is in!!!!!!!!” Swizz declared on his Instagram along with a basketball jersey in the traditional New York Knicks colors.
Fab and Jadakiss are the latest to participate in Verzuz, which has hosted epic quarantine battles from the likes of Mannie Fresh and Scott Storch, Teddy Riley and Babyface, Jill Scott and Erykah Badu in addition to a Memorial Day special between Beenie Man and Bounty Killer.
Fab and Jadakiss previously linked up for their collaborative album, Friday on Elm Street, so it’ll be interesting to see what the two MCs decide to pull from their extensive discographies.
The rap icons will go head-to-head on Monday at 8 p.m. ET, and for this installment, viewers will be able to livestream it through Apple TV as well as Instagram.
