Arriving at the event in true Solange fashion, the 31-year-old, rocked a black utility look with strappy belts and buckle detailing created by Shanel. Her blonde tress was in a slicked back pony and she accessorized with strappy black satin heels.
The new school acknowledged the creative for her latest work, a performance piece by the name of “Metatronia,” which took place at the Hammer Museum in LA. The video features a new sculpture, Metatron’s Cube, 2018, conceptualized and created by Solange and will be showcased at select locations across the U.S. this Summer.
Solange accepted her honor stating, "I'm eternally grateful to any and everyone who has ever stopped me on the street and told me a story on how they've connected with my work in any capacity. You are literally what I do it for."
She also dropped details about her commute to the event: “'This is really a beautiful night. I rode here in stretch Hummer." Now we don’t know if this was before or after the event but Solo def enjoyed that hummer.
The fashion forward mama got turnt ON TOP of her white hummer captioning her insta photos “big fucking moooood” and “can’t take texas or dc girls nooooo damnnn whereee 💫”
Now that’s how you take home a win and in style. Congrats, Solo. You’re the reason why we will always be taking our seat at the table!
