Offset Claps Back At Black Trump Supporter Over Abortion Law

The hasty exchange of words took off after the Migos rap star defended his thoughts on abortion laws.

The Twitterverse got real on Saturday (May 18) when Migos rap star Offset and conservative teen speaker Coreco Ja'Quan "CJ" Pearson had an exchange of words on Twitter.

  • The war of words ignited when 'Set hopped on social media Saturday (May 18) to express his disregard for anti-abortion laws, following the passing of Alabama's most recent near-total ban on abortion bill. The 27-year-old father of four took to Twitter to tweet:

"New laws is [slavery]. To force a rape victim to keep a child is [SLAVERY] IM NOT PROUD TO SAY IM FROM AMERICA!!!"

  • Recognizing his misspelling of the word "slavery," the rapper followed up with another tweet, explaining that the error in spelling stemmed from his strong passion around the issue:

  • Not long after his tweets, conservative social media talking head CJ Pearson insultingly called out the rapper for his position, sending shots at his marriage with femcee starlet, Cardi B.

"Offset - in between cheating on your wife @iamcardib - I hope you take the time to pick up a dictionary," he tweeted Offset. "It’s slavery, not 'slavory. And if you’re not proud to be an American: leave."

  • The rap artist and husband quickly responded to the activist, challenging Pearson to reevaluate his views as a Black male supporter of the Republican party and disgraced White House occupant.

"And in between ur time you should look at yourself in the mirror and ask your self why you as a black men support republicans and trump people who give a f**k about abortions more then black men gettin kill and targeted by police .B L E S S U P B R O T H E R"

  • It didn't take long before Offset fans and pro-choice supporters followed up the response to Pearson, however, the high school junior defended his tweets with "I am proud to be a conservative. I am proud to support @realDonaldTrump. I am proud to defend the lives of the unborn. This is MY truth and I will never be ashamed to live in it."

Offset is one of the latest celebs to join in on the pro-choice conversation following Alabama signing their bill. Last week Rihanna called out the state's most recent bill as well as actor Michael B. Jordan, who also sided with a woman's rights to choose.
